October 11, 2017– Looking for video content?  Whether you’re planning to share with your class or use for  research interests, here are some suggestions from SU Libraries collections:

  • Books24x7: Short videos on IT topics and leadership are included in this collection.
  • Prendissmo Collection: Short video interviews with business leaders about enterpreneurship, leadership and more, for example, Mayur Saxena (cofounder of the startup Ardent Cell Technologies) speaking about the importance of building strong teams. Includes video transcripts.

 For content on a broad range of topics:

  • Academic Video Online: provides access to over 62,000 videos from Bloomberg, Microtraining, the Open University, and PBS and other sources. Documentaries, interviews, performances, field recordings, and commercials focus on subjects including business, economics, anthropology, and news. Includes video transcript, and the ability to create playlists and clips.
  • Kanopy: includes educational titles, technical training videos and feature films from providers such as Media Education Foundation and California Newsreel. Robust collections include: Media & Communication, Global Studies, Marketing, Advertising & PR. Kanopy allows you to create video playlists or pick short clips of featured films to share with students, and includes closed captioning.
